CHAPTER 8: SNAKES IN THE GRASSTHE TRAINING WAS FINALLY COMING to an end. We had about two and a half months left until graduation. I could hardly wait. I’d be an honest to goodness, full fledged, card carrying astronaut. The scuttlebutt around the center was that there was a mission coming up in August. I hoped to be one of the pilots on board. But I knew that I probably wouldn’t be. I still had more training to go through before they’d let me fly. Someone pushed against me from behind making me stumble.
