“What happened?” Finn asked Liam as he had carried a sleeping Lily to the bedroom and tucked her under the covers. She had practically passed out in his arms shortly after he had arrived, the incident obviously taking a lot out of her. He gently stroked the bruise under her swollen eye, wishing he could kill the person who gave it to her.
“She said a man in a ski mask broke in,” Liam explained, running a hand roughly through his golden-brown hair. “She shifted and bit his arm, then he just ran off. I didn’t arrive in time to stop him. He did leave this though,” he said, taking a syringe of clear liquid from his pocket. “I’m assuming it’s wolfsbane.”
