Lily’s phone wouldn’t stop ringing, and although she didn’t want to speak to whoever was calling her, she needed to make a call of her own. Rifling through her bag one-handed as she kept an eye out for the signs she had to follow, which was made difficult by her tear-blurred vision, Lily fished her phone out. She tapped at the bright screen, stealing small glances down at it as she switched lanes to keep left, and soon enough her phone was ringing with a call to her brother.
