Dawn broke over the cabin, pale light filtering through dusty windows. Mia woke with a start, momentarily confused by the unfamiliar surroundings. Then it all rushed back—the game, Logan's transformation, their escape. She sat up, scanning the small room. The fire had died down to embers. The wolf was gone. "Logan?" No answer.
