I knew that there had been something going on with Clay since he brought Cameron here. I just never expected him to tell me that she is his mate. I'm not sure if I disbelieve that she is because of how dangerous that is and the fact that as far as I am aware, it has never happened before, or if it's because I don't want it to be true because I wanted her for myself. Even I have to be careful with her so I don't hurt her or accidentally kill her if I were to drink from her. More so now than ever before because I have marked her. The flavor of her blood is more tempting now than it ever was before and before all of this, it was pretty amazing even then. Now I feel as if I can't stop if I start to drink from her.
