I could smell Cameron's scent the moment I walked into the house. I knew what was happening, I knew her period was on its way. It was like a magnet for me not just because I'm a vampire but because of the bond. Depending on where in the cycle the woman is at depends on how intense the mating feels. In werewolves, they go into a heat cycle and that lets the males know that it's time to mate. Bonded or not, they want to mate with the female in heat.
In vampires, we don't have the intense feel to mate because of pregnancy. We can't have babies and vampire women don't have a period anymore because the organ is dead. But in Cam's case, she is human so a vampire is attracted to the blood and wants to drink from her. For me, I feel the intense urge to drink her as well
