Damon’s POV “What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice low, eyes narrowing at the sight of her by my desk She clasped her hands behind her back, all regal grace and false innocence. “Oh, nothing!” she said with a soft laugh. “Just reviewing some preparations for your coronation. You’ve been so... absent lately.” I didn’t answer. What was the point? Since she left—since Ara walked out of my life—nothing mattered. I turned away from her and poured myself a drink.
