“Sachzna! Tatiana! What are you two doing there?”
Nana and I jumped at that sudden scream of our grandfather. We turned to him, our faces distorted with guilt. Nana was the one who walked to him, her head lowered to the ground. So I followed her and silently walked to our grandfather.
“Are you watching the boys’ training?” Grandpa added. He glanced over our shoulders and to what Nana and I had been watching earlier. We used the huge and heavy curtains to keep ourselves hidden as we watched the boys outside together with their coaches.
Grandpa slid the curtains open and we instantly got everyone’s attention. First was Uncle Dante, and then the boys and their coaches. I bit my lower lip and took a step backward.
“We won’t disturb them, lo. We just want to watch,” Nana said. Among the
