Presley and I had sat through her film of choice in an awkward silence. My head felt like it was spinning. I didn’t know what it was I was feeling towards her, or what it was I was hoping to do; but Presley had made herself more than clear that what had just happened was not to be spoken about, so I remained quiet. I did not want to risk her panicking and heading home. I did not want my earlier actions to be the thing that caused my friend to turn her back on me and walk away.
