Panic felt like it as racing through my body as I raised my eyes to meet hers. But, despite her words having the potential to be accusing, there was no sign of that within her gaze. She was looking at me with nothing but warmth and care. Maybe I was worrying for nothing. The situation with Zaine automatically making me assume the worst in others too... 'Maybe Zaine was right.
