Cole's POV
I tried to push away the heaviness in my heart as I waited in my car, outside her house in hopes that she will ask me to come in at any time now. A heavy sigh left my lips as another minute passed without any sign of her reaching out for me again.
I understand that it will take her some time to wrap it around her head that I am not completely human and be okay with it. Still, I couldn't help but a deep sense of longing when I watched her house. I didn't want us to be like this even for a short amount of time.
My mind replayed her horrified face when I phased in front of her. All the blood had drained from her usually flushed face and her lips turned white. She truly seemed like she was scared for her life when she looked at me.
