I didn't know how to react as she planted herself in front of me, her eyes never leaving my bruised cheeks. She studied it for a moment before averting her gaze to look into my eyes making me cringe, "Um, hi, Mom" I said awkwardly, waving my hand at her, "You're not supposed to be here now" I blurted out, scratching the back of my head. My mother is always a soft person but if anyone wakes up the tiger in her, it is hard to tame her then. My mother's eyes turned icy as she scowled at me, "Hi?" She repeated sarcastically, "Care to explain what happened to your face, Bryce?!" She demanded, pointing at my cheeks.
