I waited nervously, glancing down at my watch if it had been two minutes since I peed on the stick I secretly bought a few days ago. I managed to wait a week after missing my period even though it was nerve-wracking, and I was tempted to do the test.
"Are you going to come out or not?" I heard my sister ask me through the bathroom door, "What does it say?" She started pounding her fists against the door, "Open up or I swear to god, I am going to break this door -"
"It hasn't been two minutes yet, Mera," I shouted back at her, "These tests might give us a false result if we check it too soon."
She groaned at that, "Honestly, this is the longest two minutes of my entire life." She grunted, "How many seconds left?"
"About thirty," I answered her and heard her cuss at me in response.
