The males grumbled.
‘Brother?’ the orange asked. ‘You cannot be considering this.’
‘It will be as Her Ladyship wishes.’ The green dragon spoke with a great rumble. ‘The responsibility shall be hers.’
The three males spread their wings, taking to the air. Alexis braced herself against the downdrafts from their wings.
