“And dangerous,” he said in a low voice, his warm breath caressing my cheek. “I must be out of my mind for agreeing to bring you here.” I turned my face and met his eyes inches from mine. On impulse, I gave him a quick kiss on the lips. “Thank you for not trying to make me stay behind.” His eyes turned that smoky gray color that always melted my insides.
