'Biron stood before Vasha and told her, 'I will only say this once, Vasha. I am sorry I broke my promise to you, but you need to stand down.'
'You broke your promise and hurt my son. I won't.'
'Ladiff is a soldier. He is trained to take hits. I won't go easy on you, Vasha, if you challenge me publicly like this.'
'Just worry about yourself', Vasha told him and walked away towards her teammates, which included Sharfa, Prem, Ulpe, and Fusha.
'Mother, please stop. Father doesn't look very happy, "Prem said to her mother.
'When you marry Prem, learn this. No matter how much you love your spouse, you must never tolerate disrespect from them. One small lie leads to another. A small lie, a broken promise, an insult made in jest, all of these things start small but slowly begin to grow as you tolerate them. Remember that.'
'Yes, mother'
'Can we end this quickly, Mother Vasha?I still need to dress up the girls for their dance tonight.' Sharfa asked
Vasha smiled and responded, 'I intend to Sharfa, this is what we will do', and starts to whisper to her teammates.
Biron looked at the females in his house, preparing to battle against him. Within himself, he was torn between his ego and his love for them. He knew Vasha would get angry when she found out he played rough again but he didn't think she would so do far, but then again, thinking about how much pain Vasha endured before bearing her own children, her reaction towards Ladiff's injury is perfectly understandable. He sighed as he walked towards his teams mates.
'Father, we aren't going to play with them, are we?'Yukon asked worriedly.
'Of course not, 'this is what we are going to do,' Biron replies and begins to explain his plan to his teammates.
Moments later, both teams were facing each other with Prem serving as the runner for her team. The bell was rung, and she moved with incredible speed across the field, followed by her mothers who guarded her by the sides and Sharfa in the rear. Her brother Yukon was the first obstacle, but she skillfully manoeuvred past him like a snake. When he turned around to catch Prem, his wife hugged him from behind and softly caressed the soft spot behind his ear, making him jerk and giggle. He turned to face her but groaned in frustration when she ran past him and winked, realising he had been played.
The second obstacle was Biron, but her mothers pulled him by his wrapper and started dragging him between them, the perplexed look on his face and the theatrics of his wives caused the entire crowd including the players on the field to laugh hysterically. The distraction was enough to help Prem cross the finish line quickly.
The crowd cheered, and her teammates celebrated while she did a victory dance swinging her hip, making the crowd cheer and whistle louder. She covered her face shyly and ran to Goron, who playfully knocked her head with his finger before leading her back to her teammates and taking his position as the runner in his.
The teams faced off again and when the bell was rung Goron darted across the field with incredible speed but was met my Prem who leaped in the air to land on him but was caught by her father who placed her on his shoulder and continued running, using her as a shield against his wives. Sharfa tried to help but was pulled by her husband into a deep kiss. The distraction helped Goron to run past with Padario and Kultar behind him.
Padario saw Fusha run at him but used his fathers tactics and lifted her on his back, leaving Kultar and Goron to face their mothers, who were both looking at them with arched brows Goron goes to his mother and hugs her, kissing her temple. At first, she pushes him away, trying to stop him, but then he whispers something to her, and she turns to him beaming. He puts his arm around her shoulder and continues whispering as he leads her to the finish line, but she is so distracted she doesn't notice. Ulpe tries to warn her friend, but Kultar holds his mother despite the slaps she lands on his back. Goron continues whispering to his mother, who is distracted and unaware he is leading her across the finish line. Her teammates scream to get her attention, but by then, it was already late. He looks at his mother mischievously, who finally realizes she has been tricked and kisses her forehead before walking back to his cheering and celebrating teammates. Ulpe taps her friend clearly upset at the turn of events, but when Vasha whispers in her ear, her mood immediately changes, and she hugs Vasha fiercely to everyone's surprise. Biron goes to Yukon and Sharfa, who are still locking lips in a corner, smacks Yukon at the back of the head, and points to the children who are watching them. Yukon scratches the back of his head while Sharfa blushes deeply as she walks back to her teammates.
The team leaders call their team mates together to change tactics. Fusha becomes the runner for her team and Prem served as base defence, while Goron continued to serve as the runner but Padario changed places with Plavi and served as the base defence while Plavi protected Goron beside Biron.
The bell was rung, and Fusha darted across the field, followed by the two matriarchs. Vasha ran towards her husband who smiled in anticipation and was ready to playfully lift her off her feet but was surprised when she ran past him and Goron to face Plavi who was equally shocked at her tactic and froze upon her approach, his fear evident in his eyes. The diversion worked as all eyes were on Vasha, allowing Fusha to run past Goron and Biron. They turned around to stop her but Ulpe jumped on Goron from behind making him fall to the ground, Fusha ran towards Yukon in the mid field but was intercepted by Kultar who took the ball from her and threw it to Goron who was on his feet again, ran past Ulpe and Vasha towards Sharfa. He was about to tackle her when he heard his mother scream. He turned around and found her on the floor holding her ankle. Biron and Ulpe rush to her, followed by the other team players. Biron kneels, checking her beautiful creamy legs for injuries while Sharfa kneels beside him.
Razan stands equally worried but is surprised when he looks at Prem and sees her smiling. He looks back at Vasha and sees her signalling with her eyes to her teammates with her eyes while her husband and sons are distracted. When they are all in position, Vasha screams,'Now!' and locks her arms around her husbands neck who struggles at first but bursts into laughter as he embraces his wife, shaking his head in disbelief that he fell for her ruse while she smiled triumphantly into his chest.
Meanwhile, upon instruction from Vasha. Sharfa grabbed the ball from Goron and threw it to Prim, who was threw it to Fusha but was unaware that Plavi was about to tackle her.
'Prem look out', Sharfa screamed, but when she turned around, it all happened so fast that she didn't understand anything until everything stopped spinning. The entire courtyard was silent when she opened her eyes and looked around her, trying to find her bearings. She saw Plavi groaning on the ground with his face in the dirt but didn't understand why her family was looking at her like she had grown two heads until she found herself cocooned in two large, toned arms. She felt a warm breath fan her neck, and it made her skin grow goose bumps as the scent of wine mixed with the familiar scent of luxurious oils hit her nostrils. She turned to face her hero but found him holding unto her with his eyes closed.
She heard him groan and whispered, 'Razan?'. He opened his beautiful amber eyes to look at her, and slowly, he released her. They got up together as servants from both kingdoms, and Vasha raced to check their injuries, but Razan held out his hand to keep the servants back.
'Are you alright, your highness?' Vasha asked, and he nodded before whispering words to her, but she didn't hear and leaned closer. He whispered again, to which she smiled and turned around screaming 'RUN FUSHA RUN' which startled everyone. They all looked back to find Fusha very close to the finish line of her opponents alone with no one to challenge her. Fusha looked around her and realized her advantage before starting to run. The men chased her, but it was too little too late. The girls had won. The crowd cheered, and the girls celebrated, hugging each other.
Razan watched Prem and smiled as she clapped and hugged her mother, elated that her team had won. Excited, she turned around and hugged Razan as well, which startled him, making him stiffen. She withdrew and immediately tried to bow down to apologize for her brazen act, but he held her by the shoulders and raised her to stand.
Biron witnessed everything with mixed emotions and realized he needed time alone to process his thoughts on the future of his only daughter. He was distracted by the sound of howling and found Padario running across the field, getting chased by his brothers who were throwing balls at him while blaming him for their loss because he left his post. Everyone laughed and the evening ended with the children taken away to be dressed while the adults returned to their quarters to be cleaned up and changed for the night events.
