Ally felt her chest tighten as she climbed into Gus´s truck and buckled herself up. They were going to her parents’ place and she was pretty nervous about it.
They´d had a few good months, living together, and she felt they had adapted just fine to each other. But now, her anxiety was taking a toll on her as she bit her lip uneasily while Gus drove them out of the city and onto the highway.
-It´s gonna be fine Ally- Gus said, reaching for her hand and giving it a little squeeze- I´m the one who´s facing your father, princess, so leave the worrying part to me.
-There´s someone else from my family that you haven´t met yet and he´s gonna be there today- Ally whispered.
-Really? Who?- Gus asked intrigued, looking briefly at her.
-My brother Louie- Ally sighed- He can be a little overprote
