I felt a little bit at a loss as the old man and I went over financial statements, signed paperwork, and discussed general things to do with the company. The meeting felt stilted without Dana’s presence there to make the atmosphere more relaxed. I was already missing her, and she hadn't even been gone that long.
“Dana deserves to be compensated for the shares she would have had in the company” Lionel’s voice interrupted my thoughts, causing me to focus back on him, nodding my head in agreement.
“She doesn’t want anything to do with the family business, but perhaps simply putting the money in a trust will allow her to start up a business or her own company” I suggested, creasing my brow in thought.
