“You killed your father?” I repeat.
“Yes” he says looking at me expressionlessly.
“Why?” I ask bewildered.
“Because he was going to use me, you’ve heard of the King of Shadows?” He checks.
“Your dad” I say slowly.
“No…me” he says laughing at my shocked expression, “my father was a desperate man. He wanted power, followers, admirers even” he scoffs, “he was already powerful..sure, but not like me. I had no wish to be known so I allowed my father to use my earned title to his strength. Because it was simply that, a title.”
