DUNCAN As I woke up, I felt my legs barely touching the ground here in the shadows; I was unable to see much. Long ago, I was hit from behind by a stun from one of the men's tasers. I crumpled, my muscles seizing up, leaving me immobilized. Father's men then tied a cloth around my eyes in the living room before him and Melissa, plunging me into the darkness where the blows rained down on me from every direction I was cast into until the very last one to my head, causing me to pass out.
