“First thing first, please tell me what happened between Henry and you,” I asked in a serious tone. I sat behind her, pulled her closer to me, and draped my arms around her.
I would prefer to scoop her up and bring her home and let myself be buried deep inside her but I had to make sure that whatever would happen between us was not due to emotional feebleness. I couldn’t be accused later on, that I took advantage of her moment of weakness.
“Henry cheated on me,” Graciella blurted out with sadness traceable in her voice, “I did not expect that Henry could betray me like that, I didn’t expect that he was playing fire with his secretary. I never asked him for how long it was going on but from what I saw…I guess, they’ve been doing it for a long time.”
