“Are you ready, mate?”
“There is no reason why I shouldn’t be.”
“All right then–Let’s get your freedom back.”
We entered the room that looks like a middle-sized conference room. Six people were already there together with Sofia and Declan, the rest I presumed were their lawyers.
Whatever today’s session was supposedly called–it could be a Deposition or Arbitration or a combination of both–I just have one objective in mind– I wanted the marriage declared null and void.
Their eyes were on us when we entered the room. Miguel, Albert and Paul, my lawyers, and me. We all sat on the left side of the table while they sat on the right side except for Declan who remained standing by the window.
