The music stopped and Jesse stood on the edge of the canvas and bowed to the crowd as applause erupted before she turned and looked at the crew member who directed her in the direction to leave.
Adler tensed up as Jesse disappeared under the mezzanine floor and turned, practically running for the stairs.

Emily looked startled as Adler turned and bolted. “Adler!?” Where are you…?”
