As Jesse awoke she startled to find herself on a couch she didn’t recognise. It was a chaise-lounge of ebony wood frame and a dark burgundy velvet upholstery, it looked antique. She was propped up on a couple of cream and gold cushions against the high side with a soft cream chenille throw over her. She sat up and saw Lord Valion was sitting on the foot end of the chaise by her feet, watching her with a dulcet calmness in his beautiful smile. “Miss Jessica, please don’t panic now…” “Don’t panic?” She hissed through gritted teeth. “Tell me I’m not kidn*pped and I’ll not panic!” “Ah, well…it may look that way, but in all honesty I do intend to drop you home…” Valion said with a curious tilt to his head. “You do?” Jesse asked with suspicion and doubt looking around the room she was in.
