The atmosphere was strained as Adler and his men watched on security monitors the approach of three large SUV’s that came to a stop in a line in front of the castle’s imposing front steps with its darkening canopy.
As four men got out of both the front car and the back car they could see that one was Malik and one was Klaus, they all waited alert as the driver got out of the middle car and opened the back door.
The six men formed two lines and as the first man got out of the back seat of the middle car they all bowed their heads as he looked around. Malik and Klaus hung back to the side, no longer part of this ritual.
