As Phelps walked into the hospital’s private ward he looked over the young man sitting in a chair beside the hospital bed, reading a book, his glasses perched high on his long straight nose. He looked arrogant and self-important and Phelps wondered if he had learned that character flaw from his father. He looked up at someone entering his room and went deathly pale almost dropping the book as he scrambled to stand and defend himself. Phelps chuckled and raised a hand in peaceful entreaty. “Relax…Pieter Renaud, I assume?
