The building consisted of only one room, with no other doors besides the one he had come through. There had been windows at one time, but they were now boarded up with planks of wood. The room was small; some kind of outhouse, he guessed, perhaps belonging to a farm at one time. But there was no farming gear left here anymore. It was crowded full of tables, atop which lay a field of corpses set shoulder-to-shoulder. ‘Um,’ he said, momentarily dumbfounded. He heard a gasp from Nanda as she came in behind him.
