Having occupied the end stool in some seedy bar at the edge of the city, Declan did everything he could to distract himself from the heartbroken Autumn that he left behind. With women approaching him offering to take him back to their hotel or even homes nearby, he tried to bring himself to accept one of their invitations as he knew it would give him something else to think about. But as he tried to do this, even as he flirted with a beautiful bombshell of a woman; he couldn’t get his mind off of Autumn. The words he spoke to her played on repetition in his mind for how cruel he had been. He knew the words he spoke had been lies, but he was also aware that she did not know this.
