Declan awoke with a thin stream of an unknown liquid gently pouring onto his face. Having taken him only seconds to determine what it had been sure to his sense of smell, he discovered gasoline to have made its way from the tank of the car to where he had been located. Immediately, his hands and gaze searched for Autumn, fearful that the wreckage had claimed her life. Because of this, Declan called out for her, until realizing the car had been totaled to the point where it no longer resembled the oblong shape of the car itself. Instead, it appeared to have gone through a compactor without knowledge of the life inside. Moving forward with a detrimental head injury, that could be a possible concussion, Declan tore himself from the seat of the car, and out through a window. With broken glass
