Standing before the mirror, Autumn adjusted the daggers within her garter while Declan entered the room. The irresolute gaze upon his attractive face had caused for her to distance herself from her current objective and focus upon him. When turning to face him, she noticed how his usual arrogant and well-groomed expression had changed. His light eyes had turned a few shades darker and where humor lied behind them had now been replaced with having been jaded.
