“By the eye!” the man cursed. His voice was familiar. Thorat peered at his indistinct shape. The man sat up and looked at him, too. He pushed the hair out of his face, and then he laughed. “Thorat?” “Ferrent? What are you doing here?” “Well, I was captured, as you can see. But other than that, it’s a long story. How about you?” “These bandits broke up our camp in the middle of the night.
