Underworld Detective : A Pack Reunited

Seven years....Seven years it’s still hard to believe that’s how many years have passed since I left, and everything has changed. My life, I guess you could say, was born from blood and somehow it was blood that I found in peace as well. When I left Connor that night and made my way to the Ioain compound or manor...or whatever kind of prison you want to call it for the pack that lived within it. I had to clean in more ways than one; somehow there was more members than I thought that followed the Ioain regime I guess you would call it. Some came over to my side after they heard what I had to say, others I had no choice but to make an example out of and that meant spilling their blood by my hands. It wasn’t until my third year of leading that we found out that we had an internal leak in the pack that led to someone I considered a brother. Someone I allowed to protect something close to me that meant more to me than my own life. He had been feeding that bitch information about me while I was making plans against her. Luckily, we caught on to him before he was able to give her information on the plan we had set when we finally caught her. Ryan had always been a bit overprotective, but I just considered it respect for his Alpha. I never would have thought it was out of betrayal especially when it came to that woman after everything she has done. If it wasn’t for meeting Giselle, the searer and Lexi; I never would have known about Ryan and let that piece of shit stay in our pack let alone our family. When we found out about him, we also came across my two other brothers Cole and Nicolai. Giselle had history with Nicolai so she was more than willing to help us with the fight against the Ioain family; especially after the hell they put her through for just falling in love. When Nicolai’s mother found out about Giselle she had her tortured and blinded; hell, they even took it even a step further in not only blinding her or I should say they tore them right out of her eye sockets. All she did was fall in love and that woman blinded her, I knew from personal experience that woman was beyond torturous. I gave Giselle my word and promise with the help she had given us in the fight against that woman I was forever in her debt and that she would always be protected by our pack. It took some time and planning but when it finally came to the final fight with that bitch a lot of blood was spilt, and pack members were lost not only from mine but the Italian alpha she had shacked up with after I killed her husband. We lost quite a few members in our pack, and we made sure to bring them back and give them a proper funeral. It took us a few years to finally stabilize the pack again after the fight but we're doing better; hell, I might say we're even stronger now because everyone knows this is a true pack.... a true family. Nobody ever wants to spill unnecessary blood but to get the peace we are finally enjoying now we had to spill a substantial amount to get where we are now. To be honest some nights I still wake up to the slightest noise thinking it could be another attempt from someone trying to take me out, but the days have been getting better. I’m grateful for these days, even if I had to be separated from my old life because I know the people, I care for are finally safe. One night when she was out on the balcony of her room as she took a drink of the beer bottle she had in her hand as she watched the stars. She heard a slight knock at the door, and she spoke, “Come in.” Abel walked in as he saw his sister standing out on the balcony as she smirks as he says, “I never took you as a star gazer?” She chuckled as she took another drink from the bottle as she glanced to him over her shoulder as she says, “I guess you can blame my old man for that....He loved the stars. Some nights, after a really shitty day, He would fix us something warm to drink and we would sit out on the porch and just watch the stars. He would talk about the different constellations and mythology. You would have never thought of him as a star gazer, but his wife loved the stars. I know it sounds childish, but it is a part of some of the best memories I have of him.” “There’s nothing childish about that...to be honest I’m a bit jealous,” he says,” I’ve dreamed of memories like that…it’s nice.” “He conked out after his first time today and sleeping like a rock,” Abel spoke with a smile. She noticed his smile as she couldn’t help but smile herself as she spoke, “I don’t know who's prouder you or I.” “Hey, it’s impressive for his age,” he says, “I was almost two years older than him, and I couldn’t hold it as long as he did. It’s to be expected with who his parents are.” “Grinning like a proud mama bear,” he spoke as he nearly barked out a laugh. “Oh, fuck off,” she spoke out with a smile as she kept her gaze forward for a bit. “He seems to be handling the news about the move surprisingly well,” he said. “Most of the pack accepted the move better than I thought they would but I think the fight made a lot see we needed a new start. In all honesty before the fight, I thought a transfer to new grounds sounded good for the pack in general.” “From what I can tell the last time I spoke with the contractors are actually ahead of schedule with the houses being built,” he says, “The four houses foundation has completed been laid out, from what I can tell it’s just really painting and what not that needs to be finished.” “Shit…they are ahead of schedule but that works out for getting packing knocked out sooner,” she spoke. “I know you're probably getting tired of hearing this but how are you holding up with this decision,” he asked her. “I’d be lying if I said I don’t think it’s going to be hard, but this isn’t about what’s hard for me it’s what’s best for the pack,” she says, “Besides even you agreed you thought Colorado would be good for everyone. Especially with some of the younger ones being able to experience a proper hunt.” “I know what I said Eva but….. We would follow you our alpha anywhere.” She nodded slightly as she glanced at him as she says, “Maybe this will sound stupid but, in some ways, a selfish choice of mine. You’re right I don’t know how things are going to turn out, but some of my best childhood memories were back there and growing up I made good memories that I want Cj to be able to make as well.” “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were a bit homesick for Colorado,” he spoke with a smirk as he glanced at her. “Oh, you can just fuck off you know,” she says with a chuckle.
