Niall’s wolf, Jax, trots beside us, his fur brushing against ours every so often. I know it’s not a possessive move, or forcing contact. It’s Jax’s need to be close to his mate, and Rose feels it too. He hasn’t pushed me to mate, or even done anything to make me think he is any threat to me. I think Rose is right to trust Jax. It’s his other side that I don’t trust.
Niall’s words have given me a lot to think about, but I am not going to just accept that he was telling the truth and not just saying what he thinks I want to hear in an effort to make me drop my guard and give myself to him.
