Joel shifts into his human form and holds a hand out to me to stay behind him.
“Mitchell, let me explain,” he says to the snarling wolf in front of us.
“You have 30 seconds to explain yourself before I tell them you're alive, because the Alpha just told us he felt you both die,” Mitchell growls out the moment he shifts.
“She’s pregnant, the Alpha will kill the baby, I have to get them safe, please, Mitchell,” Joel pleads.
“Why would he kill the baby? He's not that cruel,” Mitchell shakes his head.
“He already threatened to do it, the same way he ended her mother's pregnancy,” Joel explains.
Mitchell's eyes shift to me and I nod my large wolf head at him, answering his unspoken question.
“And now he will kill you both for this,” Mitchell throws his arms up in the air in frustration.
