** Freya’s Point of View **
Joel carries Neo into the clinic where a nurse is waiting for us. She shows us to one of the rooms reserved for the rare occasions they have inpatients as usually more serious medical issues are sent to the packs hospital.
As soon as Joel lays Neo down, she gets to work, attaching a monitor to his foot to keep a constant check on his heart rate and blood oxygen. Neo doesn't even fuss, he just lies on the bed looking dazed.
“What happened?” Joel asks.
I tell him exactly what has happened, and he blows out a breath.
“Have any more results come in from his last tests?” he asks.
“I don't think so,” I shake my head. “The doctor here is talking with the doctor back home.”
“Okay, he's all set for now. I’ll be back soon with Val,” the nurse says with a smile bef
