Joel’s patrol is mostly uneventful. Only two rogues wander close to our border, and they quickly retreat when they hear our warning growls. Our wolves hunt down a late dinner on our way back towards the pack house.
I make Joel turn his back once I find the place where I'd stashed my clothes earlier today. Then I quickly shift and dress before I stroke Thorn’s soft fur, thanking him and Joel for such a fun day and night before I head back to the house.
Thankfully, the whole house is sleeping at this late hour, so I can sneak up to my room without having to deal with Niall, Brianna, or my mother.
