"So what do we do now?" I asked, my question directed towards Xander while I made my way over to Levi.
We were in Levi's office, he was sitting at his desk while Xander was staring out the window. Both of my mates seemed distraught that Savannah was gone. Levi especially. He didn't have to say it, we knew what happened between them. We thought it was a great sign. But apparently it was just goodbye s*x. It's been a few days since then. We took the time to grieve with the family over the loss of Hunter and then also restructure Xander's chain of command. Ben was the new Beta, Joy the new gamma, and Jane, bless her heart, the new delta. Should Hunter return, he would have his position back. We prayed that he would find a way out, but...we didn't want to think about the 'but'.
