Chapter 5

She thought she heard something. Anika opened her eyes. She fell asleep while soaking in the bathtub. She decided to get out already and wrap herself in a fluffy white robe.
She went out of the bathroom and checked outside. She heard somebody's footsteps, and she just waited. "Who could that be?" she asked Celestia.
"Maybe it's Astro," she replied.
"Who's Astro?" she asked her.
Before Celestia was able to answer her, she saw him. It is the same tall and beautiful man from the corporation.
So, he's Astro! But what is he doing here? Maybe he's the owner of the house.
"There you are! I was looking all over for you. How are you?" he asked. She got surprised when he hugged her close to him and gave her a passionate kiss.
She doesn't know how to react. But she found herself kissing him back. Probably not her but Celestia. But she feels his warm breath and his tongue.
She backed out a bit. Did his tongue just get longer?
"What's wrong? Didn’t you miss me?" he asked.
What is he talking about?
"I do. Maybe I'm just trying to still get used to this appearance."
Now that is definitely not her talking. It was Celestia.
So they can take turns into controlling her body then? But she can feel everything she did. She even felt how much she's madly in love with this guy.
"That's fine. You will get used to it. I know you will love her. I personally picked her for you." he answered.
So the interview she had was not just an interview. She was chosen to be Celestia’s host.
"She was also hard-headed like you My Love. That's why she's the perfect host for you."
Anika frowned a little. So he thought of her that way? But then, she cannot do anything about it. Celestia seems to give her a signal to just play along.
Astro signaled her to follow him. They went near the window. Wait, it looks like everything around them are windows since the walls happened to be clear glass. It was just hidden by the curtain earlier.
Now that it has been exposed, she catches her breath because of the awesomeness of this place. She can see other places from where they are.
It looks like a condo unit but the only difference is, each unit looks identical. It was attached from each other. As if it was floating into thin air.
"Beautiful!" Anika exclaimed.
"Not as beautiful as you, My Love. But I'm glad you like it." Astro hugged her from her back.
This man is very affectionate. She never thought he could be like this when she saw him back from his office at the corp.
Celestia is very lucky to have this guy. She never had a relationship for a very long time and it feels weird now that there's someone hugging her now.
She noticed his ring finger and checked on hers at the same time. They have a matching wedding band. So, they are married. Astro is Celestia’s husband.
Now this will be very exciting. But it can also get complicated. Astro was not even aware that his wife's host is conscious and it's as good as he is cheating on her at this moment.
Is it cheating if the guy doesn't even know about it? After all, they cannot tell anyone about their secret. Even Celestia’s husband.
Anika almost jumped when she heard the phone ring. Astro quickly grabbed it to answer. She looked curious who it might be.
"It might be the corp," Celestia informed her.
"I'll be there shortly." she heard Astro say to the other line. Then he turned to her.
"You want to come along? Your friends are excited to see you," he said to her.
"Sure. Wait, I'll just put some clothes on." she realized that she only had a robe on her.
Astro nodded and sat down on the couch to wait for her.
She immediately went back to another room which happens to be a walk-in closet. Anika got excited seeing all the lavish clothing Celestia has.
Everything looks expensive but it doesn't look like it comes from any local designer from Earth.
"Everything's from my hometown or should I say, from my planet. Which one do you like?'' she offered.
She cannot decide herself since there are so many choices.
Celestia led her to a huge monitor and tapped on it. It looks like it has all the clothes in that screen. She taps on one that looks like a combination of black trousers and a corporate top with a matching black trench coat.
"That will do," Anika said. Start just tap on each combination and stand to round the plate from the center of the room. It’s like magic! She's all dressed up now without a fuss.
She looked from the cosmetic mirror and just pressed a button. Now that's an express make up! She's all made up in just a matter of seconds.
"Are you impressed?" Celestia asked her. She nodded.
"Let's go. We don't want Astro to wait too long." Anika just let Celestia do her stuff. She was able to even put a pair of black stilettos without having to bend. Everything is magical in this house.
"Ready when you are," she announced as Astro get up from the couch.
He took her hand and they went for the only door in the house. It opens automatically and they get in. It looks like a small elevator.
But instead of transported up or down, they got teleported to another place. Anika felt dizzy when they immersed themselves on the other side. In just 30 seconds, they are now inside Astro's office from the corp.
If everything will be like this on Earth, then no more time will be wasted. They went out of Astro's office after he grabbed his tablet from his desk. Now they have to walk through the hall of the building.
Anika noticed some of her office mates carrying boxes as they all walked in a straight line. She was about to approach Debbie when Celestia stopped her.
"Don't even dare...'' she warned her. "They cannot recognize you anymore. The hosts inside of them are the ones who are controlling them now." she said.
She felt sorry for her colleagues. They were not her friends anyway though. She happened to be an introvert and she doesn't mingle with anyone before. She just does her job and then goes home without an attempt to make friends with anyone.
She believed that it's better that way. No issues when you are not close to anyone. But still, she feels for them. That's what makes her human even after the transformation. They all look hypnotized and too focused on what they are doing.
As they walked, they passed through some rooms with glass walls. It may be best as they can easily see what the workers are doing without having to enter the room. She noticed a "No Sleep Zone".
It looks like a transparent factory. The workers are not even talking to each other as they work. She also noticed another room where it shows "Training Zone ''.
Well, that looks normal. Aside from that, the people inside seem to be running on a treadmill while they have some wires connected to them.
She worked in this building for some time now. But it seems that everything was changed instantly. She thought about her old office if it was still there. Maybe it was also converted into another room for other purposes.
All of sudden, she missed her coffee mug. She wonders if she can still drink coffee now that she has been transformed. It is a funny thought but she knows that everything is different now compared before.
