A few days have passed but it seems Anika cannot make Celestia respond. She needs to know the truth.
The problem is, she cannot ask Astro about how their kind die or as they called it, passed on.
She doesn't want him to suspect anything and cannot even use Google to search about it. Her situation is out of this world!
She needs to find an answer from the Corp! It’s the only place where she can find details about these species.
She gets ready to go to the Corp even if Astro didn’t want her to get back to work just yet. She was ordered by him to stay home to rest.
But she can’t just ignore what’s happening to her. Without Celestia inside her head, she doesn't know if she will get back to being human again.
Anika gets dressed inside her dressing room. She knows her way around already. Celestia taught her everything she needs to learn.
She even told her about the other way out from her closet. It’s like an emergency exit in case something happens inside the house or vise versa.
Not that Celestia needs to use it, but somehow, she was able to prepare for this. Astro didn’t know about this hidden exit.
Anika is still not convinced that Celestia is gone now. She wants to confirm what just happened.
From there, she will know her next step so that nobody will suspect anything about her existence.
She teleported to her office from the Corp using the hidden doorway.
She carefully watched her back to make sure that nobody would see her there.
It looks like everybody is busy. Today is another recruitment day so everyone is focused on their tasks.
A lot of alien enthusiasts are in the lobby. Some of them look weird with foil hats on their heads.
Somehow, that fool hat actually works. They were able to send signals to the species from the Corp and bring them there.
She smiled to herself. Good thing they have found many willing humans for the transformation program.
It looks like an alien convention out there from the lobby. They have no idea what is really in store for them.
She glides through the walls so that nobody will notice her presence.
Anika found the door from the chamber where she got transformed before. Nobody’s there so she entered the room.
She felt relieved. This is the only place she can start looking for answers from her knowledge.
She locked the door to make sure that she will have time to hide in case somebody tried to get in.
She found the computer from the side and tried opening it.
Wow, it just opened up and displayed the main screen. Bingo!
The species may not use passwords as they have their own language and only they can understand it anyway.
That’s just her analogy. But since she’s a host, she was able to learn their language since Celestia taught her.
She located her file from the computer and tried to open the folder containing her data.
She browsed through it and then looked for the information about Celestia.
She was able to find her details including what happened to her from the crash.
The report shows that it is a miracle that they were able to revive her upon injecting her to her host.
She skipped the gory details about the procedure that was done to her.
She doesn't even want to know how it was done. Her only concern now is about how the species die if they are inside their host.
Anika wants to learn about what’s happening to Celestia. She’s been quiet for sometime now.
It is not like her nature not to talk to her every single minute. She's always explaining to her about the things she cannot comprehend about their kind.
Nothing on their files about dying except for the hosts part. Maybe they don’t have that record around here.
She keeps on looking through the folders. It's all about the other humans who were transformed.
Just as she was about to give up, she found a video file named Andromeda.
The species are recording their diary on a video format. But only for those who originally get transformed first.
She’s not required to do this but maybe Astro has one in his computer.
One video caught her interest since the file name is about Andie’s elder. They call their parents their elders.
Anika clicked the file and played the video.
She saw Andie as if she just came out from crying. She talks about her mother from the video.
She narrated how she passed on. It’s very similar to what happened to her dream.
Andie said that her mother visited her dreams telling her that she needs to go to another place already where they can no longer see her.
So it’s like going to heaven? Anika questioned herself.
Andie also explained to her video what happened after the passing. Since their kind cannot live without their partner anymore, it means her father will also follow her mother’s death soon.
That’s why she's crying so much in her video! It's the same thing Celestia told her what will happen if Astro finds out about her passing.
Anika also learned that when their species die, they will just disintegrate and turn into dust.
But in their case, she might have just flushed her away from her body in a different form.
She didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary yet. Or maybe her theory is not right.
Anika thought that there’s still hope that Celestia is alive. But the similarity how Andie narrated it from her journal is real.
She closed the video and just as when she was about to leave, she heard that somebody’s trying to open the door.
She hid under the table. Then the door opened. It was Andie.
She just grabbed her keys from the desk and got out of the room right away .
Anika waited for another two minutes before she got out of her hiding place and reached for the door.
She checked first if there’s anybody around the hallway. When she sees nobody’s there, she immediately gets out of the room and heads back to her office.
She sat in her office chair as she was still trying to understand how the passing happened.
"Common Celestia, stop joking around! Talk to me now!" she said in her mind.
But she still didn't hear her usual replies.
Feeling frustrated, she decided to just get back home and be alone with her thoughts.
