Lindsey's POV
I could have cried with joy out of getting out of training but unfortunately, that didn't get me out of my gym class. I headed there, despondent, knowing that Mrs. Simmons wouldn't approve me of skipping the class even as I wrote it down in my little notebook.
Mrs. Simmons could I please be excused from class due to not having a voice and being physically ill I wrote in the hopes that for once she might actually say yes. I even held my fingers behind my back with one hand and held my breath. Mrs. Simmons read my little note with a raised eyebrow, and the whole class sat down and awaited her instructions. She slowly shook her head at me.
