Xavier's POV
It was a long way back home, even longer when my traveling companion hadn't said a word to me since she got we left Tokyo. I didn't know why she left, but now I do. She saw what happened like I thought she did and I was not going to allow that.
Grant has tried to take away so many things from me. He is the reason I lost Annette, after what he did to her, she didn't even want to live. I get it, what he did was wrong but she preferred to die rather than to tell me what happened.
I loved Annette with all of my heart. I would have done anything for her. Had she told me back then, I would have killed Grant with my bare hands. She knew that, maybe that is why she didn't tell me. I will never really know, but the fact is that I don't know why she decided to come back.
