Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!
The sound of the EKG machine kept on ringing in my ears. They say that when a man is faced with death, his whole life flashes right in front of their eyes. I would like to say that I know that better than anyone.
When I was staring back at the end of Xavier's gun, in those few seconds that it took for the bullet to penetrate my skin, I saw my whole life flashing through my mind, like a montage of memories playing in my mind. I felt the bullet penetrate my skin.
When my memories came to my mind, Xavier was always there, from the time we were only just kids till the many times he has been there for me. I am not a man with many regrets but I do regret how things ended up between Xavier and me.
