The loose gravel swished under Souna´s heavy boots as she tiredly dragged her feet towards the shore and blankly stared at the inviting reflection of the crystalline lake.
Letting out a careless yawn, she rapidly undid the thick braid that hung down her shoulder and raked her fingers through the long strands of her slightly matted hair while cracking her neck from side to side.
She had just driven a tentative hand towards the superior part of her armor, and she was about to start taking it off when she abruptly paused and perked her head up.
-A little help, maybe? – She asked out aloud as her fingertips arched and strained difficultly behind her, trying to reach the straps holding her breastplate tightly buckled to her back – Don’t let these graceful moves deceive you, Ussi, I could really use a hand.
-Come – Souna heard his raspy voice tickling her ears, and she felt his hands fluttering around her body as he expertly unfastened each knot, leaving her standing in a simple pair of linen trousers and shirt – That’s better.
He commented, letting the metallic breastplate fall to the ground while he made her turn around to face him and pulled her into a strangely yearning embrace.
-I must confess I’ve always liked you better in these – He breathed melancholically against her scalp as he rubbed her arms repeatedly up and down – It reminds me of when I first stumbled upon you all those years ago in the middle of that path.
-Oh Gods! I had been on the road for days on end, as I recall – Souna awkwardly chuckled, blushing a bit as she subconsciously averted her eyes – I’m sure I looked like absolute crap, and I must have smelled even worse than that!
-Are you kidding me? – Ussi puffed out with an amused expression – When I saw you emerge from behind that bush, I thought you were a true-life fairy! I was so astonished at first that it took me a while to react.
-To react? Seriously? – She sarcastically exclaimed, rolling her eyes at him – To attack, perhaps is what you meant to say… Because all I remember is that goddamn spear of yours mercilessly piercing my back. So, is that how you’d treat a fairy if you ever found one?
-Well… Excuse me, Your Grace, but I wasn’t aware that there was a protocol in place – The warrior lightheartedly said – And you can’t blame me for doing what I was trained to do ever since I was a child.
-There was no need for you to be so rude about it though – Souna huffed with an exaggerated pout, her hands contradicting her words as they seductively rubbed his chest and traveled purposefully down.
-Oh, trust me, sweetheart, I was being extra nice! – Ussiariah responded in an equally suggestive tone while he unhurriedly kissed her nape and made her mindlessly moan.
Souna wouldn’t answer. Her brain would already be too busy enjoying the electric tingles that he sent traveling in waves through her spine to come up with a proper reply.
So, instead, she completely abandoned herself to the intoxicating sensation that the gentle touch of his lips grazing her skin awakened between her legs.
With a grateful sigh, she blissfully surrendered to the soothing void that her ecstasy would momentarily drag her into, and happily let the outside world cease to exist for a while from the minute he lifted her up and effortlessly cradled her in his arms.
Closing her eyes, she got lost in her husband’s fragrant scent as he calmly finished undressing her at the edge of the sparkling waters of the quiet lake, and suddenly, there were no more worries to be had, or any enemies left to fight. Only the soft rustling of their discarded garments against the ground, and the precise stroke of his index finger against her pulsating bud as he kept her pinned to a nearby oak.
She greedily inhaled his strong essence and reveled in that fleeting peaceful moment in which nothing else mattered anymore, just the sound of their synced respiration and the familiar weight of his body as he proceeded to carefully push himself inside her at a delightfully aching pace in response to the silent plea sparkling urgently in her eyes as she thirstily held to him.
No words needed to be exchanged between them anymore. By now, they knew each other by heart… Their subtle cues, their triggering spots, the infallible tactics to set each other off.
After all these years, it all felt as natural as coming home at last after a long day out. And yet, it was that same level of intimacy that boosted their pleasure in ways that would always leave Souna in awe.
She knew that man from head to toe. Completely. Every quirk and every kink, every expression his face would make, every grunt his throat would emit. And she was extremely proud of it.
Her nails had dug into that broad back of his as she clung to him, and her fingers had tangled in his hair while the sound of his deep voice drove her to climax countless and countless times.
None of them were trying to impress the other one anymore at that point. Instead, they genuinely cared for and procured their mutual satisfaction, and that only enhanced their experience throughout the passing years.
As Souna felt the roughness of his manhood mercilessly pounding her innards in the manner that he surely knew would rub her sensitive sprout, she would find herself acknowledging how much she craved him still and how badly she yearned for his touch even after all that time.
Nothing would make her forget all about the horrors of the world that they lived in, like spending an hour or two getting lost once again in the mesmerizing eyes of her wonderful warrior and taking in every inch of his delectable length.
That was the perfect cure for her every ailment, and she would gladly take it… Every single chance.
The unfiltered lust she noted in the distracted moans he let out as he approached his release was right the incentive that her body ultimately needed to start quaking along with his, her core instinctively clenching and wrapping forcefully around him as her muscles tightened with the impending sparkle of an overwhelming tide of pure s****l rush.
Just like that, he had taken her home once more. And it had been so good that she wouldn’t even be able to talk for a little while.
-I love you – She would breathlessly mumble once the words eventually came back to her mind, and she curled contentedly against his chest.
-I know – He would whisper back after a long silent moment, letting out a faint chuckle – And I still can’t figure exactly how on earth I managed to do that.
-Well, it certainly wasn’t because of that first impression of yours – Souna responded. Playfully pecking his cheek before jumping on her feet and darting towards the refreshing water, diving into it.
They had spent a brief time cleaning themselves up and floating in the lake under the setting sun when Souna finally spoke again.
-Why do you seem to magically appear every time I try to take a bath on my own? – She asked him with a raised eyebrow and purposeful nod.
-Well, I thought that was our thing – He carelessly shrugged his shoulders off – Taking baths and making love. Is it not?
-Don’t you lie to me, Yahun – Souna scoldingly said, clicking her tongue at him – Remember your oath. Why do you keep following me to every river and pond?
-Because last time you took a bath on your own while we were on the road, we almost lost you for good, remember? – He finally blurted out in a defeated tone – I promised you I was going to take better care of you that night, and I intend to keep my word. So, I’m not taking my eyes off you, no matter what.
-I don’t see the need for that, Ussi… Not when we are traveling with three full armies and a selection of our finest men – Souna shook her head reprovingly – And there are more important issues you could really focus on, like the whereabouts of our kids, or that menace at Bhertang´s shores.
-And we are on our way there to address both – The warrior simply replied with a confused frown.
-No, Love… I don’t think they’re marching to that strait, like we thought – Souna murmured, twisting her fingers, and staring at him with deep concern in her voice – Not anymore. And I doubt they’d even walked this path at all.
-W-Why would you say that? – Ussiariah asked in an intrigued, yet skeptical tone – How can you be so sure, Love?
-Because a mother always knows.
