Epilogue
Seamus parked his car outside of the shelter at eight o’clock on the dot. He hurried from his car as fast as he could. He was running things now and he shouldn’t be late. The night shift needed to leave by nine, and he was sure that as usual, they had lots to tell him.
“Oh my God, Seamus,” Monique said, rushing to him as he opened the door. “It sounds like they had a crazy night.”
“You got here early?” Seamus asked.
“Of course,” Monique said. “I know you had that family thing last night, which I attended. By the way, you did not tell me you were going to be in the buff. I’m glad you had that mud on, although that made for a rather interesting discussion with my new boyfriend on the way home. He was wondering just what kind of people I’ve been hanging out with at work.”
