“Come on, Bear,” Eleanor chuckled as she opened the door and let the Rottweiler enter the Club ahead of her. Bear panted, excitedly sniffing around the lounge area. Eleanor watched it for a moment before turning her attention to Gus, who hung a sign-up sheet on the cork board for announcements. Her gaze shifted to the sheet and immediately landed on the words Fun Run. “What’s that?” Eleanor asked. Gus glanced at her, “Sign-up sheet for volunteers to hand out water during the run. Did you want to sign up?” “Actually, I was thinking about running,” Eleanor hesitated. “Really?” Gus raised a brow. “You run?” “I used to run in college, and I’ve been getting back into it,” she nodded.
