“Caine!” Eleanor laughed. “Control yourself.” “I am, baby. It’s not easy when you look like a hors d’oeuvre,” Caine muttered against her skin. “Having a good time?” “I am,” Eleanor sighed, “Nellie and the other ladies are wonderful.” “Good,” Caine smiled. He knew the other ladies would treat her kindly, and he wanted her to have her own circle. Serenity was her home now, so building connections would make her feel part of it.
