Forty-Four:  Princess Ashden  My fingers still smelled of fire and smoke. I could still hear Samael’s screams, and the hiss of his burning skin. I had burned him alive. I stood out on the balcony of my room, the same  place I had not long ago discussed my future with  him. How had I even for a second believed that he was on my side?
