Aurora’s Point of View The sun was still rising as we stood on the tarmac, the sleek body of Eduardo’s private jet gleaming in the early morning light. I glanced at the sky, which was streaked with soft pinks and oranges, and tried to steady my nerves. Flying had never been my thing. I puked my guts out during takeoffs. And yet here I was, about to take off on a private jet to an island in Hawaii for a two-month construction project. The island, Ike Nui, was a pristine, mostly untouched paradise that the Mayor had secured for the luxury resort project. We’d be working on building eco-friendly villas, preserving the natural beauty of the island while adding high-end, sustainable lodging.
