Her body trembled as she was sickened by the sound of her husband’s snoring just a few feet away. She had believed having been forced away that he would have grown to appreciate her, instead, he seemed to take it out on her-as if she had a choice in the matter. Little did he know it had been his fault, as she had been forced from him and their children-but he came to blame her from having left at all. She bore the marks of this anger, having had her eye completely blackened and swollen to the point of having nearly been closed.
