I slammed a hand into the soldier’s chest. His armor rang and I shook out my wrist. It really wasn’t fair to train with normal soldiers with our Shifter abilities once we reached puberty, but I needed to beat something, so I’d asked for volunteers and made them suit up. I always got my volunteers. There was always some i***t that thought they could beat me because I was small. And a girl. It was like my mother had taught them nothing.
